Eye Cataracts Details
Cataracts commonly affects people over the age of 55. In Australia & New Zealand they are a leading cause of vision loss and blindness in older adults. Cataracts account for a major proportion of visual impairment around the world. The overall prevalence of cataracts in the urban Australian population is 11.3%. Almost 1.5 million Australians aged 55 or over suffer from untreated cataracts in one eye or both in 2012, which represents 33% of that age group and growing, according to a report released by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW).
However, the number of Australians affected by cataracts increases from about 4% of the population aged 50-59 years, to more than 60-70% of those aged 90 years and above. Demographic factors including age, gender, lifestyle and ethnicity may predispose a person to developing cataracts.

The natural cataract eye drops will dissolve cataracts, therefore avoiding any invasive, expensive eye surgery. Signs and Symptoms of Cataracts
Cloudy, blurry, fuzzy, foggy or filmy vision, cloudiness in the pupil, glare from headlights while driving at night, double vision, impairment or fading of colour vision, poor vision in strong sunlight and trouble reading text either from newspaper's, books, and your computer screen.
If you suspect you may have cataracts we strongly recommend a referral to an eye specialist (ophthalmologist). The eye specialist may carry out more detailed examinations of the eye and vision in order to determine the exact location and extent of the cataracts. They may then recommend appropriate treatment of surgery or eye drops.
Cataract Surgery and Risk Factors
Surgery for cataracts is very successful, research by Asia-Pacific association of cataract and refractive surgeons (APACRS) show over 90% of cases achieving a good outcome after cataract surgery, but as with all medical procedures there can always be a risk and complications can occur. Surgeons will only operate on one eye at a time, as this operation could fail which could cause the patient to be left blind in that eye. There is also a risk of infection (as with any type of surgery). Visual impairment from cataracts can significantly affect older generations everyday daily living like getting around which unfortunately could increase the risk of falls and injury. Preventing and treating cataracts with ethos eye drops can mean the prospect of enjoying life as a healthy, productive older person.
Cataract Diagnosis
Diagnosis of cataracts is usually easily made after assessment of the symptoms and examination of the eye. A visual acuity test uses an eye chart to measure how well you can read a series of letters Then your GP or optometrist often makes the initial diagnosis after examination of the eye with an ophthalmoscope - a hand-held instrument fitted with a lens and light that enables the inside of the eye to be examined. Sometimes the cataracts may be so obvious that they can be seen by the naked eye or they may be seen by shining a pen light into the eye.
Cataract Treatment and Management
Whether cataract surgery or eye drops is appropriate depends on the individual and the effect of the cataract on their vision and quality of life. Younger, fit and healthy people with cataracts may choose to undergo surgery, but the risks of surgery are far greater as you age.
The outcome in adults who have no other eye disease using ethos bright eyes drops is very good, over 80% of customers have seen an improvement of sight and vision. We suggest you give up Smoking and alcohol which have been linked to the development of cataracts; other factors currently being investigated by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) include diets that are high in fat and the long-term use of vitamin supplements. The best ways to reduce the risk of cataracts and treat cataracts while using eye drops is also to get plenty of antioxidants from fruits and vegetables, wear sunglasses and a hat to protect your eyes from ultraviolet light.

Testimonials
Dave Wayton- Hamilton, NZ I had an operation a few years ago and certainly did not enjoy the experience. I was hoping that I would not need one again, however simple. When I got cataracts and my optician said that laser surgery would sort them out, I decided to look for other choices to avoid surgery. I found Ethos and was impressed by the reviews of its cataract drops so decided to give them a try. They have worked and hopefully I will never need to have surgery ever again. If you are nervous about surgery, or even if you are not and want an answer to cataracts, you should go straight to Ethos.
Lynden - Wynyard, TAS Mom is in her late 70s so she knows that she is more likely to have health problems than when she was younger. Recently, her vision got worse and the diagnoses was cataracts. At her age, she did not want lazer surgery if there was another choice. That choice has been Ethos' Bright Eyes Cataract Drops and what a job they have done. Mom knows that as she gets older, her eyesight is unlikely to get better but she will settle for it staying the same by using Bright Eyes.
Julian T - Sunderland, UK I bought Bright Eyes a few months ago in the hope that the Drops would improve my vision and they have certainly helped. I had had cataracts a few years earlier and had surgery to sort them out and I was worried that they were coming back and did not want an optician to confirm that without trying something different. Everything is fine at present and I have decided that I will get a regular eye test in the future because I know how important my eyes are. In the meanwhile, I would like to thank Ethos and recommend it to everyone.
Rakesh - New Delhi When I was younger, I was having great eyesight. I needed it because I was a professional sportsman who had to be able to react quickly. I have many happy memories and am resigned to the fact that my eyes are aging with me. I got cataracts six months ago and was worried about what the treatment I faced. I don't like hospitals so that stirred me to looking on the Web for other choices. I decided to drop Cataract Drops which I found on Ethos. They are working well and I am very happy.
Dionne - Nelson, NZ I have to thank my friend John, and Ethos, for Bright Eyes Cataract Drops. John had used them last year and when I was told that I had small cataracts in my left eye, he suggested I try them myself. They have worked and when I went for an eye test, I was told I had no current problems. John had had similar success but he is not someone who would write reviews for things he has bought so I am doing it for him. Think of this as two recommendations for looking to Ethos if you have any eye problems.
